Most of the improvements for the iPhone 4S are internal.  The 4s now runs on an A5 processor, the same one used in iPad 2. The new processor is swift and responsive that downloading or launching of applications is almost thrice the speed of iPhone 4.  The potential of the new CPU is not yet fully realized. Yes, the performance has more than doubled in speed but we have yet to see Apple’s promise of graphics that are seven times better than 4^th gen iPhone.  New improved game applications are still in the offing, so it won’t be long now to see these visual improvements.

The internal camera is now 8Mp. Though an 8Mp camera is not really exceptional, the difference is that instead of four, the 4s has five lenses for sharper contrasts and details.  This is because the 4S has a wider aperture and that the sensor’s wiring runs along the back which in turn affords to suck-in more light for better picture quality. The processor is faster so auto-focus is quick for the first shot and subsequent photos are captured in less time. It is now possible to control auto-exposure, face recognition and auto-focus with one setting.  For convenience, iPhone 4s’ iOS5 affords a shortcut to the camera function from the locked screen.
